Rob Poulos Book Review: Should you buy Fat Burning Furnace?

A definitive book about weight training and dieting has been written by Rob Poulos titled, “Fat Burning Furnace.”  In this book, Rob proves his theory and shatters the myth that you don’t need to spend hours in the gym to lose weight and get the body you want.  But before you buy Fat Burning Furnace I encourage you to read my review below to see if this sounds like it will be a good fit for you or not.

The author himself is a living testimonial to the success of his program.  He started out by trying to emulate other bodybuilders by spending hours in the gym pumping iron.  However, over time he came to realize that his body and metabolism weren’t capable of putting on muscle in the same way other muscle building guys could (like the ones on magazine covers).

To make things worse, he found that when he did gain weight it was the wrong kind.  After basically overeating, he found himself getting fat.  It was at this point the he dedicated himself to learning how to effectively lose that fat and discover a better way to build muscle from working out.

After much research and experimentation, Rob created a complete program called the “Fat Burning Furnace.”  Rob contends that it’s absolutely possible to change your entire metabolism into a “fat burner” by simply eating the right foods and then exercising in the correct manner.

But is it worth it to buy Fat Burning Furnace? Or can you find a lot of this information simply by searching for it on the internet.  Although I think it’s possible to find bit and pieces here and there, the challenge is figuring out how to correctly apply this information for your specific body type while at the same time avoiding the information that is actually incorrect or misleading.

For instance, in his book he explains about certain genetic predispositions and how they lead to certain body characteristics.  These characteristics are what can make it hard to gain muscle or hard to lose weight as well as making it difficult to build muscle tissue.

One of the things Rob is a big advocate of is strength training.  The goal is to be able to increase the strength and size of your muscles.  By doing this and eating the right kinds of foods your body will become a fat burning furnace.

As an example, Rob shares that if you can increase your lean muscle mass by 15 lbs (and at the same time lose about 6 or 7 lbs of fat) then you will actually be burning an additional 700 more calories a day even while resting.   Of course when you’re active you’ll be burning even more.

I’m sure ladies might be wondering that if you buy Fat Burning Furnace will following this program make you “bulky” from lifting weights?  Rob explains that most of us lack the genetic make up to get that huge and women in particular lack the testosterone levels necessary to build “bulky” muscles.

Something I found interesting is that Poulos is not a big fan of extensive cardiovascular exercise.  He believes that long duration, low intensity exercise will indeed burn some fat, but that ultimately it sends a message to your body to store more fat in order to handle all that additional exercise (for the next time you’ll work out).

Another danger of extended periods of exercise (according to Tom) is that it can harm your health by continually pushing past your aerobic limits.  What happens is you limit your heart and lung capacity because it starts to get used to the longer exercise periods.

Obviously his program will go into lots more detail about all of this but these are some of the things I found very insightful and interesting.  It certainly helped to explain things like seeing people who can run a marathon but are still obviously “over fat.”  But what’s great is not only do you feel like your eyes are opened as to how diet/nutrition/building muscle really works but how you can apply everything to your specific body type based on your personal genetic characteristics.

Should you decide to buy Fat Burning Furnace, you’ll have outlines to a bunch of difference exercises and you’ll get guidance on the correct nutrition that will maximize your potential and help you develop a strong, lean, fit and good looking body. Of course, you may not look like Arnold but no doubt you’ll look amazing at the beach or on the tennis court.  And not to mention how healthy you’ll be as well!

You won’t have to worry about spending dreary amounts of time on the treadmill or some other cardio machine.  Rob claims that if you follow his routine, then you’ll get all the benefits of a cardio workout without all that extra time and hassle.  Basically, his routine is to the point and of course he is a testimonial to the results— pretty impressive!
